Hack: Keeping a list of things to do.

Q. Fave Disney Princess/ Character and why?

It has to be Micky Mouse. He was the first toy I remember having as a little kid. He still exists too! I passed him onto my daughter but she is not so keen on raggity Micky from the 80’s.

Q. At CLS we are very focused on self-care. Can you share with us some of the things you do to look after yourself that keeps you in a good place to take on the challenges of daily life?

Getting out in nature for a big walk & breathing in the fresh air. Stretching & lots of water.

As a graphic designer….

Making or creating something new. Transforming ideas or thoughts into something that can be shared.

Q. What’s your favourite colour and why?

Green. It’s fresh, clean & everywhere.

Q. What are your favourite tools/programs? Why do you like them?

Illustrator, Indesign & Photoshop. They all do something different and can all work together. Possibilities of creativity are endless, there is always some new tool or technique to learn.

Q. How highly to do you rate the importance of branding?

Very important. It creates an identity and personality for a product or business & helps to differentiate from competitors.

Q. What brands do you admire personally? What do you like about them?

I am a sucker for Apple. Simple logo, consistent with branding and the packaging is so well designed. Another love is Who Gives a Crap. B Certified. On a mission to make a good difference in the world and has funky & environmentally friendly packaging.

Q. How important is aesthetic appeal to you?

It is important, as a design principle to create something visually appealing.

Q. Do you believe that print still has a place, or is it dead?

People love to feel things, tactile, something between the fingers. Print totally still has a place and there is always…books & art!!
