ANNOUNCEMENT: Space Ibiza 2016 New Years Day SYDNEY

One thing’s certain, that since the introduction of the Space Ibiza Sydney Festival arrived on Australian soil, New Years’ Eve has been said goodbye too and New Year’s Day is where it’s at. Revellers are savvy to the fact that New Year’s Eve is for amateurs but New Year’s Day separates the boys from the men! Space Ibiza is back and again in Sydney and even bigger than ever! It’s a little bit of Ibiza in Sydney and when both worlds collide it’s simply mental!

The 2016  Space line up’s just dropped, and it’s one their proudest yet. Paul Strange an industry heavy weight and good friend of ours certainly knows how to put on a party. If you’ve been to a party in Sydney over the last 15 years, changes are it was probably one of his. No expense will be spared on sound, visuals, entertainment or artists as he seriously mean business. This year alone he’s toured the likes of Roger Sanchez, Pan Pot and Nina Kraviz alone. We can’t even rattle off the list of who else he’s toured, well because there are a lot of them- all quality acts and artists.

Have your boarding passes ready Senors and Senoritas as they’re set to take you on quite the journey! Circus Recordings ringmaster Yousef is no stranger to Space Ibiza Sydney, and is back by popular demand. Seen Yousef before? Then you’ll know the man means business, not had a chance to catch him –then shame on you. Expect a massive set as he closes out the party, and having seen him previously, know he’ll bring the goods.

Multi-talented selector DJ Tennis joins the festivities, and if you’ve been lucky enough to cop his latest deluge of remixes, you will already be furiously clicking ‘Buy Now’. The Italian-American DJ’s  been remixing the likes of Baio (of Vampire Weekend), as well as keeping his imprint “Life and Death” firing on all cylinders. Tennis’  been making waves worldwide, as he gets dance floors writhing and everyone asking for more! Game set match to this guy! (yes cheesy and cliche we know..)

The Godfather of the UK House scene is back! Danny Rampling is one of the most instrumental figures in the House music scene without question. While no introduction is necessary, but for the uninitiated; listen up. Danny Rampling is without question, why  “the scene” today exists.  Rampling brought his taste of Ibiza back to London in the form of rave and iconic event “Shoom” (giving birth to the acid house music movement- as we know it). If you think you like and know house music, watch Danny Rampling . Be schooled and be truly entertained!

YORUBA RECORDS main main, Osunlade has certainly come a long way from a career of  composing tunes for Sesame Street. He makes a much anticipated return back to Australia for SPACE, and not a moment too soon. With releases on Defected, Strictly Rhythm plus his own imprint, Osunlade is an addition to the SPACE line up that is not to be missed. It’s said each and every time he plays, you can expect a unique and new musical experience. We can’t wait to see what he’s got in store, but we just know it will be good.

JAVI BORA – Is fast becoming the SPACE Prodigal son with him back for his 3rd New Years Day adventure here down under. Javi is taking the world by storm as a staple and resident at SPACE in Ibiza over the party season, you can bet your paella this kids got the goods and he’s bringing it all.

No party’s ever complete without  the hometown hero’s and  local support acts and artists.  You can bet your bottom dollar that the who’s who of Sydney town will be on this line up. It’s  a non-negotiable event for anyone who appreciates quality house and techno and one of the ones we’ve been assisting in now for what will be our 3rd year and event.
