For the Love of Blogging

I love blogging and have been doing so for about 8 years now. When I travelled overseas and moved around a lot, I found it far more efficient than having to send a group bulk email all of the time.

I love blogging and have been doing so for about 8 years now. When I travelled overseas and moved around a lot, I found it far more efficient than having to send a group bulk email all of the time. I would blog about my travels, anything exciting and or if I was angry. I still have a personal blog which are the personal opinions of mine and where I for the most part vent. You’re welcome to read it and if you don’t have the link already, please send me a message. Professionally, I find blogging can be a great way to share market trends, topics and advice with your clients. I recommend it a lot to my clients. It gives you an opportunity to engage, to be seen in a more personal and non-sterile light and so people are up to date and forever learning. Let’s admit it, when things are stale and boring people generally (me included lose interest). My blog will be here to share with you exciting things I might be involved in, helpful advice, tricks and tips. If there’s a certain topic you’d love me to write on, offer my advice or if I’m not an expert point you in the right direction, please message me as I love to share and love a challenge.

I think the first and most fitting blog should be about why I’m here and why I’ve launched my business. If you don’t know me personally then I guess let this be an introduction. My bio goes into more detail, but I’ve always been a writer, reader and love a healthy discussion. Writing and words have always interested me. Numbers and I never got along and I’m fortunate in that I’ve always had a creative mind. I’ve worked for the most part in the Hospitality and Entertainment Industry. It’s seen me be involved within the media and getting to do a lot of promotion and publicity. I love being able to write a paragraph about something to sell it to people and get them excited. I’ve been fortunate in I’ve always worked with some great (and not so great people), which has given me an opportunity to learn, be hungry for knowledge and the skills and experience I’ve learnt have motivated and driven me. I’m lucky in that I am super organised and can multi task like a mad woman. Yes I get stressed when I have deadlines, yes I can probably we the worst person to be around, but for me attention to detail, ensuring everything is perfect and seeing the end product is a payoff.

I’m fortunate in that my mind works in a most mysterious way in which I can look at most scenarios and see a way in which to assist, promote and help people. I love getting involved in creative projects and helping people themselves grow. I love doing different things and across a range of industries because I too am always learning. I don’t pretend to know everything about everything; I’m loud, driven, passionate and hard working. I’m professional and am I see it as the personal trainer of business and motivation. Sometimes people need a gentle push in the right direction to be on the fast track to achieve their goals and motivation. All the while I’m doing mine.

Anyone in a creative industry knows that the money’s not great, that the hours are long and the tasks are somewhat tedious. But anyone that works in this industry knows that it takes a rare person to do what we do, when most people don’t get us and at the end it’s all worthwhile. It come to a point where I was putting off doing what I was good at and what I did full time and decided to finally take the plunge and do what I do well and enjoy to the next level. Let’s be honest, everyone has that dream of working for themselves, calling the shots and holidaying 40 weeks of the year. I’d be quite happy writing and reading, editing and proofing on a small island somewhere, minus the cats of course, but doing what I love for me.
If you want to know more about what I’ve done, where I’ve been and what I’m doing check my profile out on linked in. If you’re at a point where you need a supportive and structured hand and are ready to take the next step, then you need only ask. I’m here and ready to go, I’m just waiting on you!!
