Nikki Carvell: ‘Do what you love’

With passion like no other and an incredible story of success to her name, Nikki Carvell’s journey to the top is inspiring. More than just an icon of the dance scene, Nikki Carvell advocates for following your passions and doing what you love, always trying something new and never stepping down from your dreams. Her story highlights overcoming challenges and having self-belief and resilience to build an incredible career for herself and now help others do the same.

From first learning to DJ at 43 in 2018, Nikki has established herself as a premium spinner behind the decks. Her upbringing in Leeds (UK) created a foundational hub for House-heads in North England, cementing her love for club culture. After moving to Australia, she booked her first gig at Sydney’s iconic IVY in 2018, just one month after taking her first lessons on the decks, which would be the catalyst for the years of growth and success ahead.

Her passion, drive and ‘never-give-up’ attitude allowed her to become a talent capable of throwing it down with the best of them. From supporting icons like Simon Dunmore, Fat Tony, John Digweed, Jamie Jones, Franky Rizardo, Dr Packer, Dicky Trisco, SGT Slick and more to Ibiza parties, including the 2022 Soul Heaven O’Beach Closing Party and headlining O’Beach Ibiza in 2023, she’s done it all. With a fusion of Classic Disco and Jackin’ House, her sets come alive as she embraces the dancefloor, showcasing her love of music and understanding of what her audience needs to accompany them on their journey.

2024 is another incredible year for Nikki as she continues a weekly residency with Cafe Mambo Radio (Ibiza), brings Soul Heaven to Sydney, and plans to launch her record label, Dare To Records, this March, featuring remixes by industry heavyweights. Like she wasn’t already doing the most, Nikki Carvell is like no other with her passion to build her own career and help others do the same. After taking over the Sydney DJ School, Nikki has taught over 300 students and continues to share her love for the scene and passion for creating music and building up-and-comers.

This International Women’s Day, Nikki is setting her 2024 off with a bang by bringing iconic global brand Soul Heaven down under for one-night-only at Sydney’s Sussudio in King Cross. The night is set to showcase an iconic all-female DJ lineup, featuring international headliner Monki (UK), supported by Nikki Carvell herself, Lauren Neko, Laura Luv and Summer Skye, some of whom are Nikki’s friends and former students, whom she’s invited to share the decks with.

Final release tickets are on sale now to catch Nikki Carvell this Sunday, 10th March, at Soul Heaven for International Women’s Day.
