Share your love of green space and find one of four giant ‘Grassy Hearts’ across Sydney to take a creative selfie this Valentine’s Day.
Sydney’s three Botanic Gardens and Centennial Park will play host to the grand act of love which is expected to draw thousands of visitors to the Sydney sites.
Expanses of lawn at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Centennial Park, the Australian Botanic Garden and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden will flaunt turf-art hearts finished in coloured paint detail.
Garden and park guests will also be invited to ‘follow their hearts’ with winding trails of heart stencil art decorating pathways and walking routes.
Mr Kim Ellis, Executive Director, Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands, said the #GrassyHeart idea was about finding a way to showcase the beautiful grassy lawns of these vibrant green hubs with a modern context.
“We want Sydney to show us the love in our green spaces. We hope this exercise, which activates our harbour-side to mountain-top network of nearly 1,100 hectares, will to do Cupid proud this Valentine’s Day,” Mr Ellis said.
“We’re embracing new traditions with the rise in social media, and giving people the digital opportunity to snap and share #GrassyHeart.”
Don’t forget to share your love and tag:
- Take a creative photo with our Grassy Heart from Friday 12 until Sunday 14 February 2016 at any of the four sites
